Preschool and Prekindergarten Registration is open!

Exploring and Experimenting at Camp

Students got the opportunity to explore and experiment at the Dye/Randels Title I Summer Science Camp.

Camp Adventure has a Snowball Fight

Camp Adventure starts their morning off with a real snowball fight. The snow was saved from a winter storm that happened last school year!

Camp Adventure Loses Electricity but Students Still Keep the Fun Going

Yesterday Dye Elementary experience a power outage for approximately 1 hour.  That didn’t stop Camp Adventure from having fun.  The older group treated it as if they were camping and told stories like that we’re sitting around a camp fire.  The little tikes continued with their creativity as if the lights were on.

 

Title I Summer Science Camp Students Learning about Geology!

Dye and Randels students learned about geology from Ms. Cheryl Cross at the Title I Summer Science Camp.  Every student was able to choose a rock to take home!

Youth Football and Cheer Registration

Carman-Ainsworth Youth Football and Cheerleading registration is going on now! Football groups include:

Freshman = 8 & 9 years of age and up to 90.5 lbs.
Junior Varsity = Up to 11 years of age and up to 120.5 lbs.
Varsity = 12 years of age and up to 170 lbs.

Cheerleading Eligibility: 6-12 years of age

Deadline to register is August 8th.

Today at Summer Camp Adventures Students Learned about Fire Safety!

Thank you Flint Township Fire Department for coming out and talking to Camp Adventure Students about fire safety and for cooling them off after by spraying them with the fire hose. Your work is greatly appreciated.

Meet the Candidates Forum: Michigan 49th House District Candidates

shutterstock_113321422You are invited to attend a Meet the Candidates Forum featuring the individuals campaigning for the Michigan 49th House District. The Genesee County Association of School Board Members is hosting this event on Tuesday, July 30th at 7:00PM.  The event will be held at the GISD Davis Education Center located at 2413 West Maple Avenue, Flint, MI  48507.  Several partner organizations have joined the GCASBM to hold a successful event, including: The Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce, League of Women Voters-Flint Area, Michigan Municipal League, University of Michigan-Flint, and the West Flint Business Association.

Title I Summer Science Camp Kids got to experience Earth Dome!

Dye and Randels student were able to experience the Earth Dome during the Title I Summer Science Camp.  They learned about globes, maps, proportions, time zones, rotations of the Earth, and more!
