Letter from the Superintendent

The football team is not the only state-level performer this fall though. Our Blue Brigade Marching Band just recently competed in the State Championships at Ford Field for the third time in four years!

Last, but certainly not least, our Rankin First Lego League Robotics Team placed first in their competition on Saturday, November 9, earning a spot in the State Championships, hosted at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School on December 14!

Needless to say, it certainly is a great time to be part of the Carman-Ainsworth community. Beyond the state-level recognition just mentioned, our students across the district are also engaged in various efforts to give back to the community. Just last Friday, our students and staff packed Carman-Ainsworth High School’s gymnasium as a kickoff to our quest to return the Spirit Cup to Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools. The Spirit Cup is a regional competition where students, staff, and entire communities rally to support hunger by donating to the Eastern Food Bank, co-sponsored by ABC 12. C-A won the very first Spirit Cup in 2009-10 and we hope to bring the cup back to Cavalier Country by giving to those in need. http://bit.ly/1jh04Cl

In addition to the Spirit Cup, our National Honor Society students are engaged in their annual Food Drive to feed C-A families in need for Thanksgiving. Furthermore, students and staff across our entire district are donating food, clothing, gifts, and money to give back to C-A families throughout the holiday season.

It is a proud time to be a Cavalier!
