Volunteer Thank You Brunch

Dillon Elementary invited all our wonderful volunteers for a Thank You Brunch. The 2nd  grade classes performed some songs and one of our students played a couple songs on the violin. We love our volunteers. Thank you!

Volunteers Needed at Dye Elementary

The last few months of the school year hold many challenges for the teachers and staff responsible for all of the fun end-of-year activities we do! The color run, the track meet, field day; these are some of the special things our students will always remember.

We need help from our parents and grandparents!

There will be a sign up sheet in the office starting April 19th for anyone that has a few hours to help with one of the above mentioned days.

It could be as easy as handing out popsicles, helping to supervise a three-legged race, or just helping to tie a little ones shoes!

Please be a part of our extended Dye Family!

Rankin’s Title 1 Science Night

Sloan Museum came to Rankin to show the students and parents some fascinating science. Families learned about the ecosystem, built a water filter, designed a chair, and much more.

One World, Many Stories

Dillon hosted another successful Language Arts Fair on February 28. Nearly 250 people enjoyed a delicious dinner, games, crafts, and stories. The halls were covered with students’ class work and art relating to the theme “One World, Many Stories”. As families explored the displays, there were crafts and activities to add to the experience, including African animal presentations by Mrs. Grulke’s second and third grade students. It was a great evening full of learning and fun for everyone!

Dillon Students Make Gingerbread Cookies

Showcase Music Concert and Art Show

Thursday, April 28th, 6:00pm

A select group of third, fourth and fifth graders at Dye Elementary have been invited to present our annual Showcase Concert.  The children will be sharing a variety of folk, patriotic and recorder songs at this concert.  The program will also feature songs that were written by the fifth grade classes this year in Music.  Students should arrive by 5:45 and meet in the Music Room (room 401). Students are asked to dress up for this event.

Ms. McGinnis will have some of the students art work on display, along with quilts that the students have been working on for the past 2 years. This should be a night to remember with beautiful art & song.  Come see the talent that our students have.
