Club week allowed students to choose between several options of activities in their favorite subjects of interest. The list included visiting the Japanese Tea House, Mott Community Colleges “Fab Lab,” creating murals with local artist Chris Watson, Adopt a Pet, Salem Housing and an on-campus visit with science and chemistry students from The University of Michigan Flint. Students were able to work crime scenes, create huge balls of fire, and observe a laser engrave water bottles, walk on actual Japanese soil and create computer-generated birdhouses. Students ended our week by giving back to local facilities in Genesee County. As a part of our Service Learning initiative, students helped clean, sort, wash and organize at several different locations across the area. Adopt a Pet, Eastern Michigan Food Bank, Salem Housing and Word of Life Church saw group of at least 20 and up to 50 students working together for a common goal!
